Shoppa’s Gives a Lift to Canstruction
Shoppa’s Material Handling, was the proud forklift sponsor for CANstructionE™ Dallas 2018, donating four Toyota forklifts throughout the event held Sept. 8-23.
CANstruction Dallas, hosted at NorthPark Center, is a unique annual design build competition, consisting of 24 teams from local architecture, design, engineering and construction companies, aimed at wiping out hunger in the North Texas area. CANstruction competitions are held all over the U.S. every year to benefit their local communities.
The teams created gravity-defying structures out of a total of 120,000+ cans of food, which are donated to the North Texas Food Bank to help them in their mission to help close the hunger gap in the North Texas area.
This year’s theme was “Oh the places we CAN go.”
“Shoppa’s is very proud and excited to be a part of CANstruction Dallas,” said Preston Shoppa, Shoppa’s Corporate Rental Manager. “As a longtime community partner, we are all about promoting a volunteer spirit and encouraging engagement in making our home a better place for all.”
