Dominic Gaida has been the new branch manager at Gebrüder Weiss in Esslingen, southern Germany, since the beginning of the year. The 40-year-old succeeds JochenGonser, who will in future assume responsibility for managing sales for the economically strong greater Stuttgart area at the same location. GW Esslingen is the largest branch in the Gebrüder Weiss land transport network in southern Germany and will continue charting its growth course with Dominic Gaida at the helm.
“The foundations for our location are solid. Our goal for 2021 and the following years is to continue growing by providing excellent services in land transport and, above all, also in warehouse and logistics solutions,” says Dominic Gaida. He has been working for Gebrüder Weiss since 2007 and was previously employed in Esslingen as the Division Manager for land transport.
Freight forwarding in Esslingen, warehouse logistics in Wernau
Gebrüder Weiss employs around 230 people at two locations in Esslingen and in Wernau, situated just a few kilometers away. The company offers its clients a wide range of forwarding services from its main office in the district town, with the facility serving as a logistics hub to connect different regions via freight transport. The focus at the Wernau branch is on warehouse logistics, where 7,100 square meters of space are available to meet the needs of customers in the Stuttgart area that is highly dependent on the automotive business.
Esslingen is one of Gebrüder Weiss’s five land transport branches in southern Germany. In addition to the largest location on the river Neckar, Aldingen, Memmingen, Passau and Nuremberg also make up part of the renowned logistics company’s network.
