Largest Planned Industrial Construction Project
During the month of January, our research team identified 19 new General Industrial
facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.
The largest project is owned by General Motors, who is planning to invest $3 billion for
the renovation and equipment upgrades of their manufacturing facility in DETROIT, MI.
Renovations are expected to start in Feb. 2020, with completion slated for late 2021.

Top 10 Tracked Industrial Construction Projects
CALIFORNIA:
Power and lithium resource supplier is investing $1.3 billion for the construction of a
280MW geothermal energy plant and mining operation on the Salton Sea in
CALIPATRIA, CA. They expect to be operational in 2023.
COLORADO:
Mining company is planning to invest $350 million for the construction of a processing

DELAWARE:
Chemical company is planning to invest $105 million for the construction of a 329,000 sf
laboratory at 200 Powder Mill Rd. in WILMINGTON, DE. They are currently seeking
approval for the project.
INDIANA:
Automotive mfr. is planning to invest $700 million for an expansion and equipment
upgrades of their manufacturing facility in PRINCETON, IN. They have recently
received approval for the project.
LOUISIANA:
Chemical company is considering investing $803 million for the expansion of their
processing facility at 37269 Highway 30 in GEISMAR, LA. Watch SalesLeads for

NORTH CAROLINA:
Pharmaceutical company is planning to invest $470 million for the construction of a
laboratory and processing facility in DURHAM, NC. They have recently received
approval for the project.
PENNSYLVANIA:
Produce company is planning to invest $115 million for the expansion of their
warehouse and processing facility in KENNETT SQUARE, PA by 900,000 sf. They have
recently received approval for the project.
SOUTH CAROLINA:
Paper products mfr. is planning to invest $145 million for an expansion and equipment
upgrades of their manufacturing facility in DARLINGTON, SC. Construction is expected
to start in March 2020, with completion slated for early 2022.
WEST VIRGINIA:
Diverse consumer products mfr. is planning to invest $190 million for the construction of
a manufacturing facility in BERKELEY, WV. They are currently seeking approval for the
project.
TEXAS:
Industrial gas company is planning to invest $500 million for the construction of a
hydrogen processing facility in TEXAS CITY, TX. They expect to be operational in
Summer 2023.
