The International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA), the worldwide association for the owners and operators of toll facilities and the businesses that serve the tolling industry, has announced the association’s executive officers for 2021.
The 2021 Executive Officers were elected by the membership during IBTTA’s 88th Virtual Annual Meeting & Exhibition this past September. The meeting brought together more than 1,000 transportation leaders from around the world to discuss innovative technologies, policies, funding options, and business practices to enhance greater mobility. The new Officers will serve for one year.
The 2021 Officers are:
- Mark Compton, Chief Executive Officer of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, will serve as the association’s President;
- Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, Commissioner of the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, will serve as the association’s First Vice-President;
- René Moser, Managing Director of ASFINAG Commercial Services GmbH and Senior EU and International Affairs Manager, ASFINAG, will serve as the association’s International Vice-President;
- Samuel Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of the Transportation Corridor Agencies, will serve as the association’s Immediate Past President.
“The global transportation industry confronts enormous challenges including the pandemic, a shaky world economy, climate change, and the worldwide yearning for social and racial justice,” said Patrick D. Jones, Executive Director and CEO of IBTTA. “Our 2021 Officers have the experience and vision to lead IBTTA and the worldwide tolling industry during these unprecedented times. We look forward to working with the new Biden Administration and Congress to advance transportation solutions through tolling and other sustainable funding sources in America and around the world.”
