Largest Planned Project

During the month of June, our research team identified 5 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

The largest project is owned by Amazon, who is planning to invest $400 million for the construction of a 1 million sf distribution center at 53 Sturbridge Rd. in CHARLTON, MA. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in March 2022, with completion slated for 2023.

Air cargo facility developer is planning to invest $145 million for the construction of a 350,000 sf cargo facility at John F. Kennedy International Airport in QUEENS, NY. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2023.

Global shipping company is planning to invest $110 million for the construction of a 479,000 sf distribution center at 1035 Commerce Park Dr. SW in CEDAR RAPIDS, IA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

Connecticut:

Georgia:

Meal delivery service provider is planning to invest $52 million for the construction of a 290,000 sf distribution center at 2823 Anvil Block Rd. in ELLENWOOD, GA. They have recently received approval for the project.

Indiana:

Restaurant chain is planning to invest $50 million for the construction of a 110,000 sf warehouse and processing facility in MERRILLVILLE, IN. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in late 2021, with completion slated for late 2022.

Iowa:

Food distribution company is planning to invest $38 million for the expansion of their warehouse and distribution center in ANKENY, IA by 176,000 sf. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for Spring 2022.

Ohio:

Steel pipe and tube mfr. is planning to invest $30 million for the expansion of their warehouse space on Dietz Rd. in WARREN, OH by 84,000 sf. They have recently received approval for the project.

Nevada:

Sportswear and footwear retailer is planning to invest $27 million for the construction of a distribution facility in WASHOE COUNTY, NV. They have recently received approval for the project.

South Carolina:

Retail company is planning to invest $27 million for an expansion of their distribution center in FLORENCE, SC. They have recently received approval for the project.
