Reddwerks Announces Next-Generation Pick-to-Light Solution

Reddwerks Corporation, a leading provider of Warehouse Performance Management (WPM) software and solutions, today announced availability of the company’s Generation 3 pick-to-light hardware. Arriving in conjunction with key firmware updates, the new devices come with a variety of usability, performance, and durability enhancements.
The Reddwerks Generation 3 pick-to-light devices are two to three times brighter, using the same or less power than earlier releases. The new device buttons are manufactured for improved tactile feedback and are proven to perform consistently—even after hundreds of thousands of presses. Updated power conditioning circuitry enhances protection of the devices from external threats such as static discharge, brown power, and other common power issues.
Reddwerks Generation 3 devices also include real-time configurable power settings that allow software to dynamically adjust brightness and power consumption depending on customer needs. This green power management feature maximizes cost savings while supporting compliance with green initiatives.
New firmware features provide end users with additional order cubing functions during line split operations, as well as enhanced support features leveraged for broader equipment performance reports across a single or multiple facilities within a corporate enterprise.
“Since our first install of Reddwerks pick-to-light (PTL) devices in 2005, we have been leading the way with new and innovative ways to enhance productivity in high-volume distribution facilities operated by Fortune 500 companies,” said Bryan Mayo, SVP Product at Reddwerks. “Our latest Reddwerks Generation 3 PTL devices feature greater brightness, while using less power as well as new and improved firmware. With additional diagnostic capabilities and scalability features, whether deploying a 500-device put system or a 50,000-device pick system, more than ever we are the first choice for the enhanced performance capabilities that our customers need.”
Each generation of our pick-to-light technologies have been designed for maximum life extension and remain the industry’s most durable—even in the harshest warehouse environment, down to negative 10 degrees Fahrenheit. The new Reddwerks pick-to-light hardware is offered with the company’s latest WPM 3.6 software.
