Easy-To-Install, Durable Strip Doors
Significant savings in heating and airconditioning costs can be readily achieved using RubbAir Door’s new strip doors at loading docks and shipping/receiving areas, at interior passageways of warehouses and other industrial and manufacturing facilities, at secondary doors at walk-in coolers/freezers, and at conveyor and crane openings, These energy saving door systems feature flexible PVC strips, overlapped to provide a tight seal against energy losses as well as against migration of dust, smoke, and other contaminants between areas. In addition, RubbAir’s tough, clear PVC strip doors offer long-term safety and maintenance benefits.
With RubbAir’s unique Bullet-Mount system, these PVC strip doors can be quickly and conveniently installed. The versatile Bullet-Mount system allows snap-on/snap-off strip placement. More specifically, a modular, snap-together bracket, fabricated from HTP, stainless steel, or aluminum, is easily sized to match the specific door opening. The bracket can be mounted under or above the door header in minutes. The strips are simply snapped, by hand, onto the “bullets” of this bracket, and these bullets securely retain the strips without the need for clamps or any adjustments. This attachment/replacement method is approximately 90% faster than conventional procedures.
RubbAir’s strip door products are offered in a variety of designs including: smooth, high clarity strips; ribbed strips for added strength and scratch resistance; reinforced strips; and anti-static strips. Safety orange strips also are available. Strips for the doors can either be low temperature or standard grade PVC formulations. Strips can be specified in a selection of widths.
In addition, RubbAir now offers their PVC strip materials as U-Trim roll goods, providing some savings for those who wish to cut and replace their own strips. Bulk U-Trim rolls are available with material widths of 6”, 8”, 12”, and 16”. A strip kit is also offered which includes a stainless steel template to help the user in cutting strip and locating mounting holes.
