Access Offers Wireless Battery Management System For Industrial Equipment

Battery costs have risen in the last several years. In addition to higher costs, poor maintenance can shorten battery life, reduce productivity and increase TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). Automated battery monitoring can help service providers and fleet owners address these challenges.

CellTrac; a least-invasive battery management system measures crucial battery parameters such as voltage, current, Amp Hours, battery temperature, cable temperature, electrolyte level, depth of discharge and alarms.

Installation of the CellTrac is simple, takes about ten minutes and does not require a shunt. CellTrac transfers data wirelessly to a local computer or over the internet using a cellular or Wi-Fi network.

Medium to large fleet owners can get benefits from CellTrac Web since it provides data effortlessly. CellTrac Web can work with customers’ wireless network so cellular costs can be eliminated.

Service providers and fleet managers can run reports on battery usage, alarms and events. Reports can provide information on how batteries are performing, if operators are plugging in when they are supposed to, if batteries are watered and experiencing higher temperatures.

Warranty costs can be contained with data from the CellTrac reports. Analysis of these reports can help stakeholders make informed decisions such as how many batteries are underperforming and how to rectify issues, maximize plug-ins to achieve quicker ROI on opportunity charging, rotate batteries to balance the usage, implement best practices to maximize battery throughput, identify batteries approaching end of life and budget for future battery purchase.
