What Are You Reading?Saturday, August 1, 2009
If this reminder doesn’t put some wind in your sales, I am afraid I have failed to connect with you. Good luck, and have a nice life.
First things first.
“More-On Marketing,” my latest project, and the first in a series of business-development books is now ready to be distributed to all interested parties.
You have all heard of the Dummies Books, and probably somewhat familiar with The Idiot’s Guides. Now I am very pleased to mention that there is relief to the rest of you since my “More-On” series is now in the game.
Please notice that I said “More-On” and not “moron.”
In any event, the two cartons of books I brought to Las Vegas last week were all sold within the first three days which was a very good sign. Not because my costs were covered and then some, but that both young and old entrepreneurs were “reading” again.
I was also glad to see that there are still a number of individuals who see the merits of investing a few bucks in themselves when they could have tossed it on the color red or number 35 on the Roulette Wheel. I was pleased to see this vote of confidence in themselves.
Today’s Message: One year from today, you will be the same person you are today except for the books you read and the people you meet. So, go meet someone and go read something.
That being said, upon leaving Las Vegas I found myself being sucked into the Airport Bookstore and walking out with two new volumes myself. One book focused on “booking more clients” and the other involved “on-line marketing.” Apparently, I can’t seem to get my fill of these subjects ... along with hundreds of others.
The books you read and the people you meet. These two things are what will help propel you to the next level. The good news is that there are millions of people yet to meet and thousands of books to read.
