Stellana U.S. Strives for Innovation

Friday, June 1, 2007

By: Amanda Martin
Stellana U.S. Inc. is making its name known throughout the whole world. The established company has been around for more than 60 years, and is one of the few wheel and tire companies that has a presence in all of the major continents. The global market manufactures in China, Sri Lanka, Sweden and the United States.

Stellana strives for the greatest quality possible. It offers polyurethane tires and wheels for electric lift trucks and general industrial applications, with a special relationship with the OEM lift truck industry. Accessories such as pads for tracked vehicles, bumpers for air tools, and truck and transportation parts are available to suit your needs.

While achieving high quality, Stellana is also environmentally-concerned, making the leap to remanufacturing wheels instead of throwing them away in landfills. They are working on making the manufacturing process as environmentally friendly as possible. Stellana currently offers 24 types of OEM compounds, and is constantly developing and testing new compounds.

The company has also recently made products available for the AC market. "We can now provide AC drive, high speed compounds to all manufacturers," said president of the company, Gregory Krantz.

In the past few years, the company has developed many other new products, and continues to work to develop more.

One such line of products is the "Smoothy" line, featuring perfectly round drives, the only company in the world to do so, says Krantz. The round drives provide ride quality, safety, anti-vibrations and durability, causing no damage to the equipment and materials being moved. "It is the smoothest ride you can possibly get," he said.

The company also offers a new AC material developed exclusively for AC battery-powered equipment, providing a much higher heat threshold than anything previously on the market.

Stellana prides itself on innovation. Stellana’s technical staff will help you to reduce your customer’s costly down time and improve your overall production reputation. They will work with you to develop solutions for any problems you may face.

Proving its commitment to the industry, a new advance wheel and tire research laboratory has been developed in Lake Geneva, Wis. The multi-million dollar program was founded in December of 2006, and will continue for the next several years.

"It is our belief that 60-70 percent of our new products haven't even been developed yet," Krantz said. That's why those at Stellana are working to be the ones to produce and offer them to the market.

“We have unveiled three new products in the last 12 months. What we've shown the marketplace is a small indication of what we're going to unveil in the next 36-48 months," he added.

Through these new developments, those at Stellana are working to provide better value, high performance and high reliability to their customers.

Stellana U.S. ships to North and South America. It is located at 999 Wells St. in Lake Geneva, Wis., 53147. To contact Stellana, call 262/348-5575, fax 262/348-5570 or e-mail or More information can be found on their Web site at
