Reinvigorated White Systems Unveils New Automated Storage Solutions

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

PROMAT 2009 attendees were the first to see the newest automatic storage and retrieval methods, as White Systems, Inc. evolves with the changing world of distribution and manufacturing. White Systems has the most worldwide experience in the design, engineering, manufacture and integration of carousels for material handling and logistics.

White Systems, founded in 1946 and the originator of carousel technology, helps companies be more efficient, productive, and profitable by designing and manufacturing integrated systems for plants, warehouses, or distribution centers. For over 60 years White Systems extensive experience and knowledge of the material handling industry has provided solutions to enhance operational performance that materially contributes to our customers’ bottom line.

To meet market requirements White Systems designed the Series 1200 Power File storage retrieval kiosk, a vertical storage systems that efficiently stores paper documents using a minimum amount of floor space. The Series 1200 Power File conveniently brings stored documents to the operator, saving time and reducing error. The Series 1200 Power File features 600 inches (15.24 meters) of linear filing capacity. Whites Director of Engineering, Alex Sharlot, comments “Customers have not only recognized 30% to 50% floor space savings, but have the added flexibility of easily relocating the unit (the unit is shipped fully assembled).” Additional benefits include “pick-to-light” technology that improves dispensing accuracy, enhanced security with password access control and full steel enclosure, and portability. The Series 1200 Power File is specifically designed to fit through standard width doorways and is “plug-and-play” ready with a standard 6’ long, 3-prong, 120 volt power. For added security, a card scanner as well as other biometrics security devices can be installed.

Dave Simon, White Systems International Sales Manager, says, “Our global strategies call for dramatic growth. White Systems is now in a leadership position for automated storage and retrieval systems for factories, warehouses, and offices worldwide.” Also Pete Youngs, Vice President of Sales, remarked, “We are excited to present White Systems newest innovations at PROMAT, reinforcing decades of design, engineering, and hands-on innovative material handling storage and retrieval solutions that provide value to our customers.”
