Prophesy Releases 2009 Road Network Update

Thursday, December 11, 2008

BLOOMFIELD, CT — Prophesy Transportation Solutions, Inc., an Accellos company, has completed the Winter 2009 update of its North American Road Network Database. This major update reflects the latest changes in the National transportation infrastructure, including updates to routing points, zip codes, highway exit numbers, and commercially restricted routes. The company has also increased and updated fuel stop listings for use with its fuel optimization software, Prophesy FuelLogic, including amenities, contact information, ownership status, and more.

“The Prophesy North American Road Network Database is exclusively licensed to users of Prophesy MileageSeries software and is regularly updated to reflect the latest changes on our nation’s roads,” said Prophesy/Accellos Vice President Bill Ashburn. “With 12,000 trucking companies depending on us every day to get them from point A to point B and everywhere between, it is critical that our software is always current and reliable. We take great pride in providing this certainty to our active users.”

About Prophesy Mileage & Routing
Prophesy Mileage & Routing is a comprehensive commercial truck routing system that will accurately calculate both industry standard rating (ISR) and practical miles and map routes to over 1,000,000 points throughout North America. The software considers commercial vehicle restrictions including height restrictions, low weight bridges, low underpasses, and seasonal road closures, and can avoid toll roads to create safe truck routes for commercial vehicles.

Mileage & Routing also automates complex tasks such as looking up mileage and quoting rates over the phone, route optimization of multiple-stop trips, estimating driving times and miles, finding the shortest possible driving distance, and routing to and from cities, intersections, truck stops, and zip codes. The interface provides a detailed, full-color map for plotting calculated routes.

The software can be integrated with Prophesy’s dispatch and accounting, fuel tax reporting, log auditing, and fuel purchase optimization applications, as well as other popular dispatching systems. Commercial mileage summaries by state are a valuable tool for use in fuel tax reporting.

About Prophesy FuelLogic
FuelLogic, Prophesy’s trucking industry-preferred fuel purchase optimization software, reduces diesel fuel costs using powerful fuel optimization technology and current diesel price information in conjunction with existing fuel cards, fuel purchase networks, and negotiated fuel discounts. FuelLogic finds the best truck stop fuel prices along each route, typically providing fuel savings of 7 to 10 cents per gallon and reducing out-of-route miles by 25%. This can mean a savings of up to $8000 per truck, per year.

Working in conjunction with TChek Systems, Inc., FuelLogic accesses a network of every truck stop in North America in real time to find the best fuel prices available. FuelLogic also interfaces to truck tracking and mobile communications systems including Qualcomm, HighwayMaster, and PeopleNet.

FuelLogic is priced at a fraction of the cost of the competition and is able to generate significant diesel fuel savings for any trucking company, brokerage, or private fleet that buys a significant portion of its fuel over the road, simply by finding the best fuel stops on their route.
