Nuvera Fuel Cells’ First Annual Community Service Day

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

BILLERICA, MA — Nuvera Fuel Cells completed their first annual community service day yesterday, with over 70 employees participating. The service took place as part of Billerica’s annual Clean Up Green Up event, and employees worked at various locations around the town, including Billerica High School, Kids Konnection playground, the Historical Clara Sexton House and the Korean War Memorial. This event will mark the first community service day in what will become an ongoing tradition.

Staff members were tasked with completing a multitude of activities, including, raking, weeding, planting trees, and in the case of the high school, removing chairs in the auditorium to make it more user-friendly to students and teachers.

“I was very pleased to see the high level of enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the Nuvera team,” commented Roberto Cordaro, Nuvera Fuel Cells President and CEO. “I am sure the sense of civic responsibility will grow from here and create a tradition.”
