Northern Factory Sales Celebrates 40 Years

After more than 40 years of providing high quality heating and cooling products, its business as usual at Northern Factory Sales.

Business as usual to Northern is providing everything necessary to make their customers happy and successful. According to Paul Freed, VP Marketing, “that is what makes us successful and sets us apart in the industries we do business in.”

Freed came to Northern in 1992, initially, due to his background in automotives and experience in manufacturing and distribution. During his tenure, the company expanded its product line and distribution channels. Currently, Northern provides heat transfer products to a variety of industries including heavy equipment in agricultural and construction, forklift, automotive, light and heavy duty trucks, buses and more. They also provide specialty products, shop supplies and chemicals.

Northern Factory Sales now has over 135 employees in 15 different locations across the U.S. “Business offices, manufacturing facility and primary distribution facility are located in Wilmar, Minnesota, but you can expect the same quality and service at any Northern location” says Freed.

When asked what he liked best about his job, “no two days are the same” says Freed. Freed must also like challenges too. Northern’s unwritten motto is – if it’s hard, we should do it.
