NLE Offers Quality Equipment and Fast, Affordable Service

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

By: Samantha Donisi

Where do you go when you need a piece of construction or aerial equipment fast, but don’t want to break the bank to get it? National Lift Equipment out of Bristol, Pennsylvania of course!

National Lift Equipment buys and sells used construction and aerial equipment all around the world. The company specializes in heavy equipment such as Scissor and Boom Lifts, Forklifts, Backhoes, Cranes, Skid Steers and Loaders, but they can locate, inspect, negotiate and ship any machine needed.

“NLE is adamant about creating value for the customer,” said James Aaronson, Operations Manager for the company. “This starts at the very top. Michael Dougherty, President of NLE, prides himself in being surrounded by a staff that follows his philosophy of buying and selling quality equipment at a fair price and with integrity.”

NLE is not a dealer. They are a broker that locates late model equipment, verifies its condition, and arranges for any necessary repairs. They can also negotiate the sale and arrange for shipment to the buyer’s job site.

According to Aaronson, NLE has thousands of machines in over a hundred different makes and models in their inventory. Over 200 pieces are added to their listings each week.

“If the equipment you need is not in our inventory, we’ll attempt to find it for you,” Aaronson said. “[We can locate a machine] typically within a week. We do get some unique requests that take a little longer.”

In order to have such a fast turn-around service, NLE has broken the process down into 5 easy steps. They are: Get Complete Information, Request a Quote, Sign the Quote, Settle the Invoice and Accept Delivery. That’s it - 3 days to complete the entire process and most shipping takes less than 10 days in the United States.

To get started, buyers go to and click on the ID number of the machine they are interested in. If it’s what you want, fill out the information form or call or email one of the brokers directly.

There are several things that set NLE apart from other equipment brokers. NLE stands behind what they sell. It must be exactly as they describe or they will make it right. Secondly, instead of the “as-is” terms that most brokers use, NLE offers service and a first in the industry warranty.

“The typical broker will buy a piece of equipment and sell it without ever seeing it. NLE supplies condition reports and photos to accurately represent the machine so a customer can still purchase as-is with confidence,” said Aaronson.

As an additional offering, a 6 month/1000 hour major component warranty is available, for a small fee.

“Unlike retail sales, NLE does not have additional money built into the cost of machines to cover warranty repairs that will probably never be needed,” Aaronson said. “This is one of the ways we are able to provide machines at such competitive prices.”

NLE guarantees all pieces of equipment they sell. If something needs repairing, NLE has the original owner correct any problems not specified in the description of the equipment.

All pieces are fully insured against damages incurred during shipping.

“NLE has alliances through major dealer networks throughout the country, therefore repair work is easily arranged,” Aaronson said. “Shipping damage is rare but does occur. We are strict about using reputable haulers with proper insurance requirements to
expedite those repairs.”

With a continuously updated inventory, fair pricing and fast service, National Lift Equipment is a broker that guarantees they can find the machine you need.

“We stand behind what we sell,” Aaronson said.
