MHEDA 2009 Exhibitors Showcase Sold OutWednesday, March 25, 2009
VERNON HILLS, IL — The Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) is pleased to announce that exhibitor booth space for the Association’s Annual Convention (May 2-6, 2009 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert, California) is sold out. Convention exhibitors and attendees alike realize that this event provides education, training and networking opportunities that are critical to material handling equipment professionals - now more than ever.
Although the showcase is sold out, MHEDA continues to receive inquiries from members interested in exhibiting as well as a steady flow of attendee registrations. Despite the challenging economy, MHEDA members such as Al Boston of A&K Equipment Company have maintained a positive attitude to support this widely attended industry event.
“It is nice to go to convention in good times; it is a necessity to go to convention in tough times. Anyone who has ever attended a MHEDA convention knows that we always get a return on investment of our time and expenses by receiving valuable industry specific education.” says Boston.
“Powerful Positioning” is the theme for this year’s conference where material handling equipment professionals will have the opportunity to spend four days learning, networking and discovering resources on how to maintain a position of strength, determination, and resilience for their company. Highlights include the Exhibitors’ Showcase, fifteen presentations, networking roundtable session facilitated by industry leaders and more.
The Exhibitors’ Showcase is a tabletop tradeshow that features over 90 companies that provide goods and services to meet customers’ needs. This event will take place Monday, May 4th from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The Showcase will re-open once again for a Happy Hour reception from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., allowing for more networking.
The presentations will address critical issues impacting the material handling community, including: profitability, keys to sales success, credit and collections, negotiations, pricing optimization, website optimization, professional relationships, customer service, customer loyalty, and economic trends.
The Networking Roundtable Session will also take place on Monday, May 4th. This session will give convention attendees the opportunity to discuss a variety of timely issues in a structured, facilitated format. There will also be several other opportunities for networking throughout this event.
