Wray Ward, one of the Southeast’s leading independent creative marketing communications firms, has been selected to assist Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA), the largest non-profit trade association in the U.S. for the material handling and logistics solutions industry, in branding and promoting their international ProMat 2011 trade show.
Wray Ward will provide strategic planning, direct marketing and creative services for the association’s trade show, which attracts tens of thousands of attendees from more than 90 countries to see, touch and operate the solutions from more than 700 of the top materials handling and logistics exhibitors.
“MHIA is a national leader for its industry, and we are thrilled that they have selected us to help them with such a significant event,” said Jennifer Appleby, president and chief creative officer with Wray Ward, based in Charlotte, N.C. “We are excited to provide a fresh perspective to marketing communications through strategic planning and creative ideas, and we look forward to using our experience with trade shows and B2B marketing to maximize ProMat value, attendance and exhibitor participation.”
Held at Chicago’s McCormick Place in January 2011, ProMat’s 300,000-square-foot show floor will feature premier manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, assembly, logistics and IT solutions for the supply chain.
MHIA members are material handling and logistics equipment, systems and software manufacturers, consultants, systems integrators and simulators, third-party logistics providers, publishers and more. MHIA provides educational, business development, networking, and solution sourcing opportunities for its 800 member companies and for the larger community of manufacturing, distribution, logistics and supply chain professionals.
“We are committed to making ProMat 2011 an exceptional event where our association members and show attendees can come together to see what’s new in our industry, discover the leading trends for industrial productivity, and foster strong business relationships,” said Carol Miller, vice president of marketing and communications for MHIA, headquartered in Charlotte. “We selected Wray Ward to help us do this because of the experience, passion and enthusiasm they bring to creating marketing solutions.”
MHIA is an international trade association that has represented the material handling and logistics industry since 1945. MHIA members include material handling and logistics equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, consultants, publishers, and third party logistics providers. Member companies come from all areas of material handling and various parts of the world, making MHIA a strong national and international representative for the material handling and logistics industry. Much of the work of the industry is done within its product-specific Industry Groups. The association sponsors trade events, such as ProMat and NA 2010 to showcase the products and services of its member companies and to educate manufacturing, distribution and supply chain professionals on the productivity solutions provided through material handling and logistics.
