Lifting Gear Hire Employee AnnouncementWednesday, May 13, 2009
On May 31, Lifting Gear Hire Ltd. will bid farewell to its very first U.S. employee, Vice President Pat Fiscelli, who helped launch the lifting equipment giant’s North American headquarters exactly 19 years ago in Bridgeview IL. Fiscelli, who guided LGH into a position of market leadership across the U.S., will retire. But his name will live on atop the division. The LGH Board of Directors have promoted Pat’s son, Tony Fiscelli, to fill his father’s shoes. Formerly LGH’s General Manager, Tony began his career with LGH in 1992 and has been an integral part of the growth and success of the business the past 17 years. Tony will assume the role of President of USA Operations, effective June 1, the anniversary of LGH’s 1990 entry into the U.S. market.
On June 1 of that year, Pat Fiscelli teamed with Gordon Worswick, Overseas Development Director of the United Kingdom-based parent company, LGH Group, to open a humble little office southwest of Chicago. Today, the U.S. operation has grown into a multimillion-dollar enterprise, servicing many of the nation’s largest construction and mechanical contractors, from coast to coast.
Today, Lifting Gear Hire Corporation is the largest single company devoted exclusively to the rental, sale, and service of lifting, winching, and material handling equipment. With 11 separate locations across the U.S. and sales representatives in 27 states, LGH can provide for rent or sale, hoisting, pulling, winching, and jacking equipment to meet virtually every conceivable lifting or moving need anywhere in the country. Its prominent place in the U.S. market today is testament to the hard work and dedication of Pat Fiscelli.
As the torch is passed, the Directors and staff of LGH worldwide would like to take this opportunity to offer their thanks to Pat for a job well done, and to wish both him and his wife Gloria the happiest of retirements.View all Industry News
