JTS Announces Strategic Alliance with CSX Intermodal, Inc.Thursday, January 1, 1970
FRESNO, CA — JTS (Johanson Transportation Service), a leading third-party supply chain solutions provider, today announced that is has been awarded an IMC (Intermodal Marketing Company) contract from CSXI (CSX Intermodal, Inc.). The contract allows JTS to represent and market CSXI door-to-door or ramp-to-ramp services nationwide to the shipping community using a combination of rail and drayage transportation.
VP of Sales and Marketing Lance D. Roberts says “Intermodal is a highly reliable, affordable and clean option for our customers to ship their freight. The new partnership with CSXI gives us more nationwide capacity and flexibility to address our customers’ needs."
The intermodal division will be managed by Jeff Perry in the company’s Sacramento, California office.
“Jeff will be the key contact for sales and operations and will help guide our customers unfamiliar with intermodal through the process of proper rail loading techniques which are crucial to successful rail shipments,” says Roberts.
