Akro-Mils, a North American leader in storage, organization and transport products, announces that Jeff Gervais has been named General Manager. In this new position, Mr. Gervais assumes all operational responsibility for Akro-Mils, which is based in Akron, Ohio and designs and manufactures a wide range of plastic storage bins and containers, metal shelving systems and mobile material handling systems sold through industrial and commercial distributors nationwide.

Akro-Mils is part of the Material Handling Group of Myers Industries, Inc., which also includes BuckhornTM – a leading manufacturer of reusable plastic material handling containers and pallets. Joel Grant continues to serve as Managing Director of the Material Handling Group.

Prior to joining Akro-Mils, Mr. Gervais worked at the group’s Cincinnati-based Buckhorn offices and served as the Director of Finance and MIS for the Material Handling Group. In this position, Mr. Gervais was responsible for managing all financial and IT personnel, overseeing financial and IT requirements for the functional departments within the Material Handling Group, and compiling and analyzing various financial reporting and production reports as needed.

Mr. Gervais and his family will be relocating to the Akron area.
