Hyster Company's Invitation to Compare Event Returns for Third Consecutive Year

Thursday, July 16, 2009

GREENVILLE, NC — Hyster Company, a leading lift truck designer and manufacturer in North America, recently announced the dates for this year’s Invitation to Compare (ITC) events. Building on the success of previous years’ events, this year’s ITC will focus on Hyster®, Crown™, Toyota™ and Caterpillar™ electric sit-down rider lift trucks.

The Hyster Invitation to Compare lets customers experience live, side-by-side comparisons of electric lift trucks from four of the largest manufacturers in the industry. Attendees can compare the trucks to each other in terms of speed, energy consumption, ergonomics and overall value as engineers perform live evaluations of each product. As the tests are performed, members of the audience use a Value Index Worksheet to evaluate each truck based on productivity, uptime and value characteristics.

"Given the current economic and legislative environment, it is imperative that manufacturers make educated material handling purchasing decisions," says Paul Laroia, President, Hyster Company. "Through the Invitation to Compare events, attendees are given the opportunity to recognize which lift truck best suits their performance, emissions, reliability and ergonomic needs."

The first electric ITC event will be held at Arnold Machinery in Eagan, Minnesota on July 20. The events continue through the summer and fall with stops in cities including Wyoming, Michigan; Charlotte, North Carolina; Tucson, Arizona and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Please visit the Hyster website to view the most up-to-date calendar of events.
