Golden Anniversary Highlights
50th Anniversary Celebration
Hy-Tek kicked off its 50th Anniversary in January 2013 at an Ohio Statehouse ceremony, in which Governor John R. Kasich recognized the company’s success.
“As our 100-plus employee-owners celebrate 50 years serving the nation’s leading manufacturers and distributors, we find ourselves reflecting on what it takes to flourish over five decades. We attribute our longevity, in part, to our lasting relationships with valuable partners including our customers, suppliers, associates, and community,” said Hy-Tek CEO Sam Grooms.
New Jersey Office Opens
In March, Hy-Tek opened its newest Integrated Systems Division office in Morganville, New Jersey. Employing 10 industry pros and projected to generate sales of $15 million, operations are overseen by Principal Managers Ron Baptista and Scott Blum. With 40 years of combined experience designing and implementing over $200 million in integrated systems, they are focused on expanding Hy-Tek’s East Coast and national presence.
Construction Equipment Division Formed
In July, Hy-Tek announced its new Hy-Tek JCB division. Established to serve central Ohio’s construction, waste-recycling, and earthmoving industries, Hy-Tek JCB provides sales, parts, service, and attachments for JCB’s complete line of construction equipment and competing brands. Hy-Tek JCB offers a fully stocked parts department and full-service team of trained JCB mechanics. Hy-Tek JCB also sells and services Felling trailers and Paladin Attachments.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR HY-TEK MATERIAL HANDLING?
“Moving forward, we’ll be here to support and grow with our industry partners. We’ll be here to provide innovative solutions to help make our customers more competitive. We look forward to continued growth over the next 50 years,” said Grooms.
