FORTE, a leading distribution consulting and systems integration firm, announced that Bob Babel, FORTE’s Vice President of Implementation Services, will speak at PARCEL Forum in Chicago on Oct. 25, from 10–10:45 a.m.

Babel will co-present “Automation: How Vera Bradley Met the Challenge” with Dave Gealy, Senior Director of Distribution, Vera Bradley. Any company experiencing growth will find themselves in the position of needing to increase capacity and take the costs out of picking, packing and shipping orders. That’s exactly the challenge Vera Bradley faced in its warehouse operations, and Babel and Gealy will discuss how they explored different options for automation based on Vera Bradley’s order profile/business model.

Those who attend the FORTE/Vera Bradley presentation will learn best practices for each type of business model as well as approaches to consider if they are in the midst of changing from one order profile/business model to another.
