Exel And Longaberger Weave Customer Fulfillment Solution
Tuesday, January 12, 2010WESTERVILLE, OH — Exel, the North American leader in supply chain management, commenced management and operation today of The Longaberger Company’s customer fulfillment center in Frazeysburg, Ohio. Longaberger is America’s premier maker of handcrafted baskets.
In this role, Exel oversees and manages all elements of Longaberger’s order fulfillment. The solution maintains product quality, while increasing order accuracy and reducing lead times. Planned improved packaging will ensure box sizes fit orders precisely, provide better protection during shipping and improve overall shipping economics and efficiencies. Exel will handle fulfillment through Longaberger’s major sales channels including the Web and 45,000 independent home consultants nationwide.
