Duncan Murphy Begins Presidential Term for MHEDA

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

January 1st marked the beginning of Duncan Murphy's term as MHEDA President. As the association's 55th president, Murphy has big plans for 2009. "We’re targeting programs for the market that we're facing. The education calendar is going to be chock-full of specific offerings that will teach members how to thrive in trying times," he says. Murphy also plans to drive participation amongst all levels of member companies. "MHEDA isn't just a convention or a social group, it truly is a development tool that people in all levels of a company need to view as a good use of that most valuable of commodities—their time," he explains.

Meet the New Board
In addition to the new President, there are several fresh faces on the MHEDA Board. Bradley Baker, VP/treasurer/operations manager/CEO of Cardinal Carryor (Louisville, KY); John Faulkner, president of FMH Material Handling Solutions (Denver, CO); and Scott Lee, president of Conveyor Solutions (Schaumburg, IL), join the Board as Directors. Jeff Long, VP sales/services of EnerSys, joins the Manufacturers Board of Advisors.
