Colson Caster Launches Maximized Website

Friday, October 2, 2009

JONESBORO, AK — Colson Caster Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of standard and custom application caster and wheel products, today welcomed visitors to its new and improved corporate website. In addition to updating the appearance and corporate impressions from the site, strategic goals with the redesign were to create a more intuitive interface and programming system, so that both visitors and site administrators would have equally productive and pleasant experiences.

“Colson has always had a program of soliciting comments and ideas from our customers. This year, we have renewed that commitment with special attention to not only soliciting input from our customers, but to also really listening to and acting on it when they do provide suggestions,” said Don Laux, President and General Manager at Colson. “This redesigned site is a direct reflection of dozens of pieces of great input from our customers. I hope they like it, because, once again, we’ll be asking.”

Colson’s new site uses state-of-the-art web technology, including improvements to its already innovative 3D modeling program for constructing precise-application caster products. A new search feature has also been added to allow customers to search by either part number or key words. Through an intuitive navigation and improved graphical user interface, helpful content such as news on the latest new product releases, a full catalog of product literature, and even Colson’s quarterly corporate newsletter is at the user’s fingertips. In addition, content on the site is optimized to facilitate successful organic online searches for customers seeking general or targeted caster and wheel product data.

As timely product information is critical for Colson customers, the site has also been designed for ease of programming. All product specs, availability, and application information pages are kept current through simple, administrative updates. Event-driven and more fluid information is also easily added by in-house personnel without the need of special training or the ability to manipulate web source code.

In keeping with Colson’s commitment to maximum customer interaction and communication, the new site also encourages input and feedback - from how adequate the amount of information on the site is, to ease of use and navigation through the site. For more information on Colson’s updated website, visit www.colsoncaster.com, take a look around, and then click on the question mark icon from the homepage to leave a note about the site!
