CeMAT to run from Monday to Friday in future
Tuesday, November 4, 2008Hannover — At the recent meeting of the CeMAT steering committee it was decided to stage the show in future from Monday to Friday. Consequently, CeMAT 2011 will run from 2 to 6 May.
"CeMAT 2008 has shown that we can reach our specific target groups by sticking to the normal weekdays", says Dr. Wolfram von Fritsch, Chairman of the Board at Deutsche Messe AG. "At the meeting of the CeMAT steering committee we unanimously decided to start on the Monday, as this will enable us to increase the foreign visitor quota even more", adds von Fritsch.
Dr. Christoph Beumer, chairman of the CeMAT steering committee and also Chairman of the Board of BEUMER Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, Beckum, welcomes the decision: "CeMAT remains the most important event of the year for the intralogistics industry. By incorporating the Monday into the show's run we will strengthen its position as the world's leading trade fair in its field, as many foreign visitors will use the Sunday to travel to Hannover."
