AEM Sets Annual Product Safety, Liability SeminarsWednesday, March 4, 2009
“Cross the Bridge to Quality Safety Education” is the theme of the 2009 product safety & compliance and product liability seminars from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
The co-located events will be held April 27-30, 2009 at the Hilton Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh is known as the City of Bridges.
The AEM seminars are unique in that they are designed by off-road equipment manufacturing industry professionals specifically to meet the needs of companies in the agricultural, construction, forestry, mining and utility sectors.
The product safety & compliance seminar is geared to company management, product safety and quality managers, design engineers, technical writers, and research and development personnel, as well as training, service and communications professionals involved in product support.
Educational material will be delivered in beginning “101” and advanced “201” tracks in the product safety & compliance seminar, to better meet the needs of all program attendees, from companies small to large. There will also be plenty of time for networking with industry peers to discuss common challenges, as well as hands-on exercises and peer-to-peer roundtable discussions. Two keynote presentations, on the impact of teamwork and motivation on product safety, round out the program.
The one-day product liability seminar, April 30, will expand the “litigation tool box” for attendees so they can more effectively support company trial counsel during products litigation. The seminar is of particular value to the manufacturer who does not have the benefit of dedicated claims staff.
These two AEM seminars are open to off-road equipment manufacturer personnel and company-designated service providers.
AEM’s educational programming offers CEU - Continuing Education Credits to provide extra value to attendees. Attendees participating in both events receive a liability seminar registration discount. Complete seminar details and registration information are posted online in the "education" section of the AEM website - www.aem.org.View all Industry News
