Westfalia Technologies, Inc., provider of logistics solutions for plants, warehouses and distribution centers since 1992, announces that Dave Williams, director of software and solutions delivery, has been named a 2016 Provider Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Out of more than 350 entries received, Williams was selected for his leadership in developing and implementing warehouse automation technologies that address clients’ supply chain challenges.
The Pros to Know Awards recognize supply chain executives, and manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises, that are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies’ supply chains for the significant challenges of today’s business climate. This year’s Provider Pros to Know list includes individuals from software firms, service providers, consultancies or academia who help their supply chain clients or the supply chain community at large prepare to meet these challenges.
Dave Williams, director of software and solutions delivery, Westfalia Technologies, said, “From managing higher SKU levels, to accommodating for unreliable transportations services, to tracking and tracing inventory, manufacturers and distributors face numerous warehousing challenges. Automation technology, including warehouse execution systems (WES), gives these companies the ability to not only overcome these obstacles, but also to gain new operational efficiencies that deliver long-term benefits and cost savings.”
With more than 15 years of experience, Williams spearheads Westfalia’s software and solutions delivery operations. In this role, Williams provides leadership and guidance for the design and implementation of solutions, including Westfalia’s WES, Savanna.NET®. Combining a warehouse management system (WMS) and warehouse control system (WCS) into a single application, Savanna.NET® helps direct, control and optimize internal material flow and order picking.
