Meijer Special Equipment changes trade name to Meijer Handling Solutions, Inc.

Monday, February 1, 2016

MSE (which stands for Meijer Special Equipment) -Forks, Inc has begun the process of changing its trade name to Meijer Handling Solutions, Inc. The name change capitalizes on the success of the Meijer family name and further defines our solution based product focus. The origin of MSE-FORKS lies in the patented telescopic forks that were introduced in 1980. These telescopic forks were invented and developed by MSE-FORKS and were sold to a local company called KOOI BV, which has now become Cargotec/Moffett. In the year 2000, MSE-FORKS took over the sales and marketing activities from KOOI BV relating to the ‘KOOI forks’ from KOOI BV. The official brand name KOOI-REACHFORKS® was acquired by MSE-FORKS as well, because of its good and well established reputation in the world of logistics.

The product line today includes hydraulic and manual telescopic forks; mast height extensions; ROLLERFORKS and Kooi palletless handling equipment; horizontal transfer equipment and FLEX-OPS, an overload protection system for forklift trucks. Over the next few weeks we will complete the process and consolidate our product offerings under the Kooi brand name as indicated in the new logos above.
