Graphic Products’ new ladder safety infographic supports injury prevention

Wednesday, March 28, 2018

Engage in ladder safety like never before. Graphic Products commemorates March, the month for Ladder Safety, to unveil a shareable, informative full-color Workplace Ladder Safety Infographic to easily implement as part of any safety training program.

“With all the workplace injuries happening in construction and other industries, Graphic Products is proud to contribute to the safety conversation with this infographic and more,” said Elena Sylvester, a product manager at Graphic Products. “It can be used as a reference and an educational tool to raise further ladder safety awareness and inspire leaders within any industry.”

The informative visual encapsulates OSHA’s standards and guidelines for ladder safety in any industry. It shares some of the harrowing statistics, visually demonstrates OSHA’s rules and requirements, and offers vital tips for using ladders in the workplace safely.
Annually, at least 300 people die and thousands suffer disabling injuries from ladder-related accidents. Each year, ladder-related safety citations are in OSHA’s Top 10 citations list. This data offers insight to help emphasize the role ladder safety plays in the lives of workers nationwide. While education and training is proven to help, new innovative materials can help engage workers to stay active in the safety dialogue.
Graphic Products’ ladder safety infographic illustrates: common ladder types, OSHA’s safety requirements for ladders, four steps for safe portable ladder use, and safety solutions to reduce ladder injuries and fatalities. Other key benefits of this infographic include simple ways to prevent future injuries and easy-to-implement solutions. Remind workers of safe ladder practices and of the need for ladder inspections to properly dispose of old, damaged, or obsolete ladders to improve workplace safety. Add this safety resource to any training program as part of efforts in continuous safety innovation. Support national ladder safety goals and spread awareness about the importance of ladder safety.

This infographic is one of many tools Graphic Products has published to help workplace safety managers and workers succeed, such as free guides, including “OSHA Safety Sign Best Practices.” Understanding OSHA regulations and having the right communication tools are vital for ensuring safe ladder operation. Communicate work boundaries, identify tools, and more using DuraLabel industrial sign and label printers, supplies and accessories.
