Thursday, January 26, 2017
Arrow Material Services

has appointed Frank Pidro, Jr. to run AHC Logistics, LLC, a newly-created division specializing in third-party logistics (3PL) services for bulk materials, breakbulk and project freight. His responsibilities as AHC Logistics’ Chief Operating Officer include building a successful team to support AHC, as well as generating new business opportunities and assisting with service to Arrow’s established materials management clients. Mr. Pidro has more than 20 years of experience in the logistics field.

Prior to joining AHC Logistics, he was Vice President of Operations for Fairmont Supply, a distributor of products and systems used for industrial maintenance, repair and operation in the mining, oil & gas and metals industries. Under Mr. Pidro’s leadership, the company achieved 1 million worker hours without an OSHA-recordable accident, as well as 5 million miles without a vehicular accident. He also developed and implemented programs to reduce operating costs as a percentage of sales while increasing inventory turns through right-sizing. Mr. Pidro began his career by holding management and staff positions with U.S. Steel’s Straightline Division, Pittsburgh Logistics Services and Falcon Transportation. He is a graduate of Duquesne University and also holds an MBA Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh.

“I am pleased that Frank has chosen to become a member of our team,” says Ed Cumberledge, CEO of Arrow Material Services. “His ability to provide strategic business expertise should help us expand our capabilities and contribute to the company’s growth.”
