The Big Number: 68 Custom Trailers. No Sweat.: Hamilton Caster is pumping out one of their biggest custom orders ever, thanks to one of our southeast distributors. This time with 68 four-wheel steer trailers to haul diesel turbocharger housings for a major engine manufacturer. Uniquely designed, each trailer features two carousels that lock in place during transport and rotate to keep loads easily accessible. A single trailer holds 48 parts and about an hour of production needs on the assembly line. With the added capacity of our new truck factory, we can handle massive orders like this with ease. Americold Appoints New Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer: Americold, the global leader in temperature controlled warehousing and logistics to the food industry, announces the appointment of Keith Goldsmith to Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. He will report to Jeffrey M. Gault, President and Chief Executive Officer of Americold. Mr. Goldsmith joins the organization after serving as Senior Vice President Business Development for CEVA Logistics, overseeing the development of supply chain solutions for the company’s premier clients. Prior to CEVA Logistics, Mr. Goldsmith served as a member of the board of management and Group Chief Information Officer for TNT Logistics, a predecessor company to CEVA. GSA Contract Extension Approved: Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp. is pleased to announce the General Services Administration (GSA) has executed renewal of its contract for Federal Supply Schedule 56 (Building Material and Industrial Supplies/Industrial Services & Supplies) after full review of the past five years of performance. The new period of performance is now recognized as September 14, 2008 through September 14, 2018 (contract #GS-07F-0528U). Wisconsin Lift Truck has received an “EXCEPTIONAL” rating, which is the highest rating earned by a GSA contract holder. In order to accommodate the needs of various industries and government bureaus, a wide selection of equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, forklifts and hoists are available, alongside items such as carts, cabinets, stretch wrap machines, dock equipment and much more. IBTTA Welcomes House Transportation Subcommittee Hearing Today on Financial Status of the Highway Trust Fund: In advance of today’s House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit hearing on the current financial status of the Highway Trust Fund, International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) Executive Director and CEO, Patrick Jones, welcomed the hearing and called on lawmakers to hold a “robust conversation on expanding the use of alternative funding options available”. Today’s hearing, chaired by U.S. Rep. Tom Petri (R-WI), entitled “How the Financial Status of the Highway Trust Fund Impacts Surface Transportation Programs,” is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. The hearing witnesses will include the Honorable Polly Trottenberg, Under Secretary for Policy, U.S. Department of Transportation, and Mr. Kim P.
