Wisconsin Lift Truck Co-Hosts First-Ever Forklift Rodeo for Midwest Food Processors: Wisconsin Lift Truck proudly co-hosted the first ever Midwest Food Processors Association forklift rodeo at their convention on December 3rd – 5th, partnering with Seneca Foods, SBS Battery, Jax, Kaman and Orbis. The event was held at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee with about 900 key food manufacturing stakeholders from around the Midwest coming together to learn, network and source better solutions for the safety, quality, and nutrition of their products. Equipment Leasing and Finance Association Announces Top 10 Equipment Acquisition Trends for 2014: The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) which represents the $827 billion equipment finance sector, revealed its Top 10 Equipment Acquisition Trends for 2014. Given U.S. businesses, nonprofits and government agencies will spend in excess of $1.5 trillion in capital goods or fixed business investment (including software) this year, financing more than half of those assets, these trends impact a significant portion of the U.S. economy. Serapid Expects Increased Sales with Telescopic Mast Products in Composite Manufacturing: Serapid inc., a producer of lifts and horizontal motion products made with its exclusive rigid chain technology, has seen an increase overall in sales of its telescopic mast products. A new version for theatrical equipment was introduced at the recent LDI trade show in Las Vegas this past November, an expansive multi-unit metrology system was produced in 2012, and a triple-mast unit is used in a containerized weapon system for the defense industry. One growing industry that is benefitting from the technology is the composite manufacturing industry.
